Roman Jordans

Roman Jordans studied law and received his doctorate from the University of Cologne. After completing his master’s degree in Wellington, New Zealand, he completed his legal clerkship in Cologne and Paris.

With his admission as a lawyer in 2005, he began his career at the law firm CMS Hasche Sigle in Cologne. Here, he already focused on banking and capital markets law, litigation as well as commercial and corporate law. Since 2008, he is a specialist lawyer for banking and capital markets law (Fachanwalt für Bank- und Kapitalmarktrecht),

Since 2009 he has also been admitted as a Solicitor (England & Wales – non-practising).

In 2010, he moved to Sparkasse Aachen as legal counsel, where he assumed the role of general counsel at the end of 2017.

In 2011, he successfully passed the exams of the lawyer specialising on commercial and corporate law (Fachanwalt für Handels- und Gesellschaftsrecht).

Since March 2019 he has been a lawyer in the Cologne office of CBH Rechtsanwälte. His main areas of expertise are banking and capital markets law, (complex) litigation as well as commercial and corporate law.

Starting July 2022, he has taken over a position as a Professor of Law at IU International University, but remains admitted lawyer (of Counsel) with CBH as well as under his own name.

Roman Jordans is author of numerous scientific articles and regularly lectures on various topics.
